Providing Quality Legal Services

Jordan K. Bowman

Jordan maintains a diverse civil practice, providing advice on a daily basis to a variety of businesses and governmental entities. As a member of the firm’s local government practice group, Jordan helps municipal entities solve problems and navigate transactions of all types, large and small, and serves as general counsel to several regional governmental entities and non-profit corporations. He helped to create (and still represents) a regional transit program and is familiar with complex federal regulations relating to transit.

In addition to his governmental practice, Jordan represents the Town of Dayton, and Industrial Development Authority, as well as private clients on real estate and land use matters, both in and out of the courtroom. He has represented clients with success in administrative proceedings before Board of Zoning Appeals, and has frequently helped resolve disputes between neighbors or co-owners of real estate. When court intervention is necessary, Jordan has litigated the partition of real estate and served as a Special Commissioner to sell both residential and commercial properties.

Jordan is an active volunteer in the Harrisonburg community and in his spare time can be found running in the Blue Ridge mountains or walking his two dogs, Wally and Katy. He is the Chairman of the Harrisonburg Salvation Army Advisory Board and has been elected President of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Bar Association for 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. He enjoys an occasional IPA.
